Skype has been one of the premier internet based phone services for the last few years because its very easy to use and compatible on every computer plus other wireless devices as well.
Besides being excellent for making phone calls around the world, Skype also is excellent for making faxes too right from the comfort of any computer.
After downloading Skype and signing up for a monthly plan the first thing that a Skype user should do is download the plugin called PamFax 2.0, this plugin will enable any Skype user to make faxes from their computer without having to stand in front of their fax machine and wait until faxes transmit.
How PamFax 2.0 Works
Step 1... Scan the document that you want to fax.
Step 2... Open Microsoft Word and insert the document into Word then save the file.
Step 3... Send the fax using Pam Fax 2.0.
Step 4... Pam Fax charges 0.13 per page and they require Skype members to purchase Skype credits before sending a fax.
Step 5... Once the fax is successfully sent the Skype user will receive a confirmation email message from Skype to inform them that the fax was successful.
Other Skype Fax Plugins
Skype has made faxing using a fax service as easy possible, if you dont want to use PamFax some of the other services that you should consider using are Faxtastic and Skax. Both of these programs are excellent and will enable any computer user to send a fax over Skpe without having to have an actual modem or other hardware attached to their computer like in years past.
Skype Fax has left the difficulty with faxing in the past and made this once boring, time wasting task something thats easy for anyone to do right from their home PC or work computer.
